RING SIZE INSTRUCTIONS

If you do not have access to a printer, we highly recommend visiting a local jewellery store to have your desired finger sized.

If you do not have access to a local jewellery store, please contact Customer Care at info@harknessjewellery.com and we will send you a complimentary sizing kit.

A core value at Harkness is sustainability, responsibility and ethical manufacturing. We take this very seriously and have gone to great lengths to ensure all suppliers and manufacturers we engage with uphold the same values. All of our cast products are created using 100% recycled gold.  We purchase our gemstones and diamonds from RJC certified suppliers, they are conflict free and ethically sourced.

Harkness jewellery is crafted from high-quality metals and precious stones and is meant to be enjoyed, worn every day and treasured as future heirlooms.

We use a lot of precious stones in our designs and the settings are designed to hold each stone in place securely. If the product becomes disfigured (through knocks or abrasive contact) it can alter the setting. This opens up the risk of stones falling out. We have chosen to use 9K gold in our designs a the combination of pure 24k gold and other alloys makes it a highly durable gold and the most resistant to wear and tear. 

Please note, no matter the karat or type of precious metal, signs of wear will appear as you go about your daily life, inevitably collecting markings along the way. To keep your pieces in the best possible condition and ensure a long life, we recommend:

Treat with care and avoid activities that expose your jewellery to knocks and scratches (such as sports, gym, lifting heavy objects and gardening).

Remove your jewellery before bed, showering, swimming and washing your hands.

Avoid exposing your jewellery to perfume, chemicals and cosmetics.

Cleaning: To preserve the brightness of your pieces, it is important to clean them often. We advise you to use a very soft toothbrush and a small amount of neutral-pH liquid soap and gently brush over stones. Rinse with fresh warm water and dry with a soft cloth. 

Rhodium plated designs: For these designs we advise you to submerge the product in neutral-pH liquid soapy water and then rinse with fresh warm water and dry with a soft cloth. Do not brush directly onto the rhodium plating.

Storage: Jewellery should be stored separately so your items do not rub against each other and cause scratches. We advise that you store each piece in its original box, or alternatively wrap each piece in a soft cloth and store in a dry, cool place to prevent it from being tarnished, scratched or tangled. 

We want these pieces to be the last you’ll ever buy, so double-check the security of your gems (which can shift or become loose after prolonged exposure to the elements) and clasps before wearing.

All our pieces are produced by hand, our coloured stones will vary slightly and no two pieces are identical.

ORDERS

We hold limited inventory on hand, so if your desired product is not immediately available for shipment, it will be available to purchase through our Made to Order option. All Made to Order pieces require payment in full at the time of purchase.

Please expect 4-8 weeks for your order to be made and ready to ship. We try to accommodate rush orders whenever possible, so contact us at info@harknessjewellery.com prior to placing your order to confirm we can make your required delivery date.

If you have an account you can check your order's shipping status by going to My Orders in the Login area.  

At the time of checkout you will receive an Order Confirmation email. You will receive another email once your order has shipped containing tracking information which you can use to follow your shipment's progress.

PAYMENT

We accept the following payment methods:

In the United States, Sales Tax is applied to your order in accordance with individual state and local regulations. We collect sales taxes in all applicable states.

For this reason, an estimation of the tax charge might be added to your order total during the checkout process. Exact charges will be calculated automatically after your order is shipped, depending on the Zip Code of the shipping address. The final amount will be equal to or less than the estimated Sales Tax shown to you at checkout. The final Sales Tax applied to your order will be indicated in the invoice you receive with the Shipping Confirmation email.

Shipping to countries other than the United States and Australia are deemed international. We ship internationally via UPS or FedEx (depending on the shipping restrictions for particular countries). Harkness is not responsible for the payment of any duties, taxes or other fees associated with international shipments and Harkness is not responsible for any delays or other issues that may arise when shipping internationally. You will most likely have duties and taxes due upon customs clearance. These fees can be paid via the shipping company’s website and they will contact you directly.

SHIPPING + DELIVERY

We offer complimentary shipping on all orders. All orders are shipped express with insurance and tracking.

An automated email notification will be sent to you, providing a tracking number so you can monitor your consignment's journey. 

Due to the high value of our pieces, our parcels require a signature on delivery. If no one is available to sign for the parcel, it will be held at the nearest post office or holding facility to be collected with photo ID.

Please ensure the details provided at checkout are accurate, as Harkness cannot be held liable for incorrect deliveries due to input errors. Our shipping providers are trusted services, and as such Harkness will not refund or replace orders that have been scanned as delivered

We begin processing orders within 24 hours of placement on all operating business days. Providing the product is available for immediate shipment, we ship Monday through Friday - orders placed after 3:00 pm local time on Friday will be processed and shipped the following business day.

The estimated time frame shown on the product page is an approximation and not a guarantee. We aim to ensure this estimation is as accurate as possible, and therefore it may change after you place your order. However, the shipment of your order may still surpass this date. In these instances, we invite you to reach out directly to Customer Care at info@harknessjewellery.comand we will be delighted to assist you. 

RETURNS + WARRANTY

We take great pride in providing exceptional service and ensuring that our client’s jewellery remains in optimal condition for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Subject to the terms of this warranty, Harkness offers a warranty against manufacturing defects for genuine Harkness items purchased from our online store at www.harknessjewellery.com, for a period of six months from the date of purchase (Warranty Period*). Harkness will offer a repair (where possible) or replacement* for such genuine Harkness items exhibiting a manufacturing defect during the warranty period.

Harkness’s warranty does not apply to items that have been handled against our care instructions or damaged by accident or misuse. Please follow the care instructions listed on our website.

All metals will tarnish over time, but it will happen much faster if they have contact with agents such as perfume, salty air, sulphur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine and acidic skin pH. The amount of tarnishing (oxidation) that occurs depends on your skin and jewellery care habits. Tarnishing due to the above reasons, is not covered under this warranty.

Any repairs or modifications made to your Harkness jewellery that are not performed by Harkness will void the voluntary warranty.

We do not refund orders because of a change of mind. We recommend that you confirm appropriate sizing for rings prior to placing your online order. If you are having difficulties, please contact Customer Care at info@harknessjewellery.com so we can assist you.

However, if you wish to exchange a product or return a product for store credit, please contact Customer Care at info@harknessjewellery.com. We will accept returns of all new, unused jewellery within 7 days of delivery confirmation date with original packaging in perfect condition. 

Please note that all returns and exchanges are subject to a quality control process before being accepted. Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered in any way will not be accepted for store credit or exchange. Once your return has been processed, your harknessjewellery.com credit will be sent via email. Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with any such returns, and we recommend that you insure any shipments for up to the value of the returned item.

If you have exchanged the purchased product for another product of a higher price, the difference will be charged to you. We will not exchange a product for items of lesser value. Recipients of gifts are entitled to an exchange of equal or greater value only. If the purchase is returned for an exchange, you will not be charged for the shipping cost of the second shipment.

If you are returning an item for repair, please lodge your request via our return portal.

Your item(s) must be returned in their original or similar protective packaging, carefully secured to avoid damage in transit.

It is at the client’s expense to safely return piece(s) to Harkness  and it remains their responsibility until confirmation of receipt by our Customer Care team.

Please note if the item(s) arrives in a condition that does not reflect our requirements, the repair will not be accepted and returned to you at your own expense.

All Harkness products come with a voluntary manufacturer’s 6 month warranty and we provide a complimentary return label through our Repair Portal if your order falls within this timeframe.

If your item is deemed as a manufacturing fault, the return shipping cost will be covered by Harkness. Harkness reserves the right to recover all shipping costs if your piece is deemed as wear and tear within the 6 months manufacturing warranty.

Outside our manufacturer’s 6 month warranty, it is at the client’s expense to safely return piece(s) to Harkness. Return shipping costs will be added to your repair invoice and payment is required prior to repairing your item.

Domestic repairs will incur a flat rate fee of $15 AUD. For international customers please contact us at info@harknessjewellery.com for a quote. The return shipping costs are respective to your destination country. The cost will be stated on your repair invoice and additional duties and taxes may be calculable and payable at checkout.
